This section is split into three different levels which denote the Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards. The following will provide information to guide you through each level:


Bronze Award

Attend, Explore, Discover – get to know what you like, what you don’t like, what support you need and how to develop. You will need 3 different pieces of evidence per Graduate attribute.

  1. Check anything that you have done against the drop down Bronze list of activities.
  2. Log your activity against your own Graduate+ Award profile by:
  3. Uploading evidence – this might be an automatic upload if it is a University led event. If external please provide proof of attendance or speak to a member of the Graduate+ team for advice.
  4. Link each separate activity with the most appropriate BCU graduate employability attribute.

Silver Award

Experience, Test, Build – an opportunity to build on the exploration and discovery stage by being more involved. You will need 2 different pieces of evidence per Graduate attribute.

  1. Follow steps 1 - 4 as above, but remember to check anything that you have done against the drop down Silver list of activities.
  2. Using the Star technique (Situation, Task, Action, Result) please answer the following question (maximum word count 250): Q - What have you achieved most from this experience and how will this help you progress and be successful in the future?

Gold Award

Extend, Challenge, Stretch – more in-depth experience, commitment, involvement and professional practice. You will need 1 piece of evidence per Graduate attribute.

  1. Follow steps 1 - 4 above, but for this award, check anything that you have done against the drop down Gold list of activities.
  2. Link each separate activity with the most appropriate BCU graduate employability attribute and explain why.
  3. Using the Star technique (Situation, Task, Action, Result) please answer the following two questions (maximum word count 250): Q1 - What have you achieved most from this experience and how will this help you progress and be successful in the future? Q2 - What skill have you developed most within this process and how was this used effectively?
