CV360 – What is it?
Today we want to introduce you to a brand NEW resource and online tool all BCU students have access to, something that is going to be a total game-changer for you & your future professional development.
CV360 is a virtual CV checker which will give you instant feedback on your current CV, something useful for all students, no matter what industry you wish to enter after graduation. What’s more, this is industry standard & loved by many UK universities & students alike.
Attracting Employers
When you apply for a job and then send your CV for consideration, typically for most organisations this will be viewed by a machine called an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), rather than a person in the first instance, of course, this does depend on the size of the company you’re applying to.
The reason why CV360 is so useful to you is because it will mark your CV in exactly the same way the ATS will, providing you feedback against more than 50 checks and therefore boosting your chances of getting through the first stages of recruitment… you can probably see now why we’re so passionate about you using this!
Is your CV ready?
When you upload your CV to the platform, in seconds you’ll be provided with a score out of 100, then below this are sections of detailed feedback, from presentation to language, everything is reviewed and that’s how you end up with the final score.
Don’t panic if you don’t get a high score the first time, one of our Grad+ team members originally scored in the high 60’s, then, after reviewing the feedback and spending time making the needed adjustments he then got a score of 90% and a much better quality CV in the process, it really is worth your time investing now in your future self and career.
