My name is Michael Heath. I am a first-year Law LLB student and Graduate+ Champion too which meant I experienced Graduate+ Week from behind the scenes and from the point of view of a student.
The planning and execution of Graduate+ Week was a busy and exciting time in the office and many students were coming in wanting to finish their awards which was great as over the duration of Grad+ Week there was over 100 online sessions running.
I tried to attend more than one a day as not all of the events focused on the academic side of university however, there was careers insights from the legal sector through the routes to law session. There was an insight into international internships in the United States or even joining MI5, MI6 or GCHQ for a summer internship programme next year.
I also walked into the world of LinkedIn which has allowed me to connect with top employers and individuals such as Clifford Chance, LinkLaters and Magistrate Ibrahim Ilyas JP where I have since expanded my knowledge of legal system and how to get into a career in law.
Many sessions ran with overlaps however, through Graduate+ there is an OnDemand service which allows anytime playback of the events to students that may have missed an event.
All the Graduate+ resources are available to use and are open to all BCU students.
