Hello everyone, I hope you are all staying well and safe! My names Olivia Thompson and I’ve just completed my second year of my Law degree. I’ve put together 6 tips that have helped me to stay positive and productive during these uncertain times.

Tip 1:

Create a daily or weekly routine. This doesn’t have to be anything major, but it will encourage you to use your time more productively. Start with listing objectives you want to achieve over the week. Use this guide from wikiHow to get started!

Tip 2:

Engage in a daily exercise. Yoga can be great for your body as well as your mind. YouTube also have thousands of great videos and the best part, it’s all FREE. Have a go at this yoga routine from MadFit.

Tip 3:

Learn a new skill. How about that language you’ve always wanted to learn, but just haven’t got around to it? To help you get started, all BCU students get free access to Rosetta Stone, where you can learn a variety of languages online. Just get in touch with our friendly Graduate+ team, who can get you set up with an account. Even better, Rosetta Stone also counts as a Graduate+ Bronze activity.

Tip 4:

Bake a fun cake. There has been a growing trend in baking “school” cakes. Tasty right? Head over to YouTube for a fun tutorial. Don’t forget to take a picture of your scrumptious creation! Head over to YouTube, for this simple tutorial from Imani Mix.

Tip 5:

Start a blog. I’ve also wanted to start a blog, a travel one to be precise. Blogging about one of your hobbies or inspirations, can be a great way to enhance your skills and have fun at the same time. Check out Word Press, where you can create your own website.

Tip 6:

Last but not least NETFLIX. I’m sure we all have a Netflix account right? Start that new series you’ve had your eye on for the past month. Its normal to feel anxious during these uncertain times, so it’s important we take things easy and don’t be too hard on ourselves. Grab some popcorn and enjoy!

I hope these tips have been helpful and I wish you all the best with your assessments!
